South-East European Research Centre (SEERC)

SEERC is a research centre of CITY College, University of York Europe Campus, established in 2004 as a non-profit legal entity in Thessaloniki, Greece. It is conducting multidisciplinary research in the fields of Enterprise, Innovation & Development, Information & Communication Technologies, and Society & Human Development. SEERC’s mission is to support the stable and peaceful development of South-East Europe by conducting pure and applied research in and for the region. SEERC also incorporates the European branch of the UK – based Advanced Resource Efficiency Centre (AREC) of the University of Sheffield (https://www.sheffield.ac.uk/arec). The mission of AREC Europe is to provide a bridge of co-creation for academia, industry and government on the field of resource efficiency and environmental sustainability. SEERC is also involved in transnational R&D funded projects on circular economy and sustainability such as JUST2CE, RETRACE, PROCEEDS, REACT, DIG-GRENT, etc.
