Izmir Institute of Technology (IYTE)

IYTE was established in 1992 and organized across three primary faculties in science, architecture, and engineering. It offers 18 undergraduates, 25 master’s, and 17 doctorate programs with over 5100 students and 932 faculty and staff. The current undergraduate to graduate student ratio of the institute is about 2.5. Education language is English, attracting many international students and scholars. The campus is located in the third-largest city, Izmir, in Turkey and lies on the Aegean coast. IYTE has taken on a mission to carry out advanced research, education, and production as well as publication and consulting in the field of science and technology. As the single Institute of Technology in Turkey, it has already built a strong reputation. IYTE is among the third-best research universities in Turkey, and it is the most enterprising university in the Aegean Region. It is an associate member of the European University Foundation.
